Until the day her secret letters are mailed and suddenly Lara Jean's love life from imaginary to out of control
My thoughts
The first thought come to my mind after reading the synopsis at the store is: interesting, I will definitely have panic attack if its happen to me. But I never write love letter to anyone. I did write a diary when I first fall in love but I burnt it out after he brokes my heart. Well, Lara Jean - such a beautiful name - wrote a love letter that she kept for her eyes only. Maybe the letters will keep her reminded of how it is to like someone.
It is a chaos when she found out that the letters are no longer in the hatbox. One by one of her letters start to show up in the hand of the boy she wrote to. It is nerve wracking for her, to see their feedback which is all great, not what she expected.
And most importantly, she found love. The hot guy in high school that most likely to like her. Cliche. I know. There are many things that cliche too. But, the writing is great and fun to read. I like her family and how close they are. The familial relationship is what makes this story more interesting especially how a single dad raise up 3 independent daughters. He must be so proud to have such a great girls in his life. I also like the mix culture written in the story, as their mother is a Korean and how they have to keep the culture alive when her mother is no longer there to teach them.
The love story is like any other young love story, makes you blush, cringe and girly scream while rolling on the bed few times. However, the ending has a cliff-hanger. The next novel entitled P.S. I still love you which I do not buy it yet but definitely in my long list book-to-buy. So, is it a good book? I will not read it to the end if it is not a good story. I recommend you to have it if you are looking for a light, fun love story with a lot of Korean drama cliche.
